Compass Royalty Management is Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70, (SAS70), compliant.

A Statement on Auditing Standards No.70 (SAS 70) is an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) in 1992. It is used to report on the "processing of transactions by service organizations" and a SAS70 Type I audit was performed on Compass Royalty Management by the auditing firm Whitley-Penn, LLP on November 30, 2009. They reviewed the processes, documentation and financial controls in the Transition and Revenue Management departments.

In their opinion, the description, (provided in the report), of the processing operations presents fairly, in all material respects, the relevant aspects of Compass Royalty Management, Inc.'s controls that had been placed in operation as of November 30, 2009. Also, in their opinion, the controls, as described in Section III of the report, are suitably designed to provide reasonable assurance that the specified control objectives would be achieved if the described controls were performed effectively.
